These statistics are based on administrative data held by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). Except where otherwise stated, the statistics refer to Great Britain. UK data is available from July 2014.

- 9 million vehicles were registered for the first time in Great Britain during 2019, 1.1% fewer than during 2018.
