About DDRS trainers
As one of the UK’s leading training and compliance organisations, we are always looking for talented driver trainers to work with our clients on a self-employed basis.
Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme trainers deliver sessions for people convicted of a drink driving offence but who are willing to address their behaviour. You will work interactively with groups of up to 15 delegates at a time over a series of 3 to 4 sessions.
TTC’s DDRS courses are approved and quality assured by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and the Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) in Northern Ireland.
While experience in a road safety or criminal justice setting is not required, you must have experience in adult education or behaviour change training.
What you’ll need
- A full UK drivers’ licence
- A teaching qualification at Level 3 or higher
- Experience in delivering behavioural change programmes with evidence of working towards a formal level 3 qualification in Drug, Solvent and Alcohol Abuse counselling
- Current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
- Your own laptop and basic IT competence
- You will also need to undergo a DBS enhanced check or police vetting to NPPV Level 2
