Advanced Driver Trainer – On Road/Practical

Working with a large, well established brand in the midlands, we are looking to expand our talented panel of driver trainers who hold qualified ADI status, have experience of Roadcraft and are commutable within the Midlands. Contract for services/self-employed basis with competitive day rates and regular courses.

The role

As a leading provider of Road Safety Education, delivering driver training to over 800,000 qualified road users every year, we have high demand for our courses and innovative range of driver training and risk management solutions to small, large and blue chip organisations. 

Our Fleet and Driver Risk Management division is a fast-growing business and we currently have a rare opportunity for a experienced, qualified ADI and advanced driver trainer to work at one of our prestigious clients’ testing grounds near Kenilworth, Coventry on a contract for services/self-employed basis delivering a 3-day coaching course on advanced practices utilising Roadcraft. 

Your day to day will involve delivering theory content, giving demonstration drives to a high standard with a commentary to support. Coaching will include, right and left hand drive vehicles, ability to incorporate the vehicle technology and dynamics in to the driving technique, coaching on a proving ground up to a speed of 100mph, working closely with other trainers as part of the three day training and assessment which will be a key part to deliver the course requirements.

We offer a comprehensive trainer development programme which will support each candidate with our lesson planning and delivery standards, as well as the opportunity to work across our group with other course delivery options in the fleet, CPC and public sector subject to necessary training and compliance requirements to offer variety in your working week. 

  • A professional approach, working with a prestigious client including demonstrating the E, D & I values of TTC
  • DVSA ADI badge holder (essential)
  • Detailed understanding of RoadCraft (essential)
  • Advanced driving certificate – RoSPA Gold, IAM First or Class 1 Police driver (desirable)
  • Hold or be prepared to source a D4 medical
  • Access to a laptop or suitable device to deliver theory content and to complete report writing.
  • Comfortable with delivering a comprehensive briefing, ability to progress delegates through key learning objectives and to support each delegates specific abilities and goals.
  • A degree of flexibility with the days of working to support our clients patterns, advanced notice will be provided with course delivery taking place over three consecutive days

In return we offer day rates of £170 and mileage expenses at 22p per mile, door to door as well as the ability to develop across our group to work within other areas of driver training, including CPC, Fleet or the public sector to vary your working week through regular CPD events.
