The UK’s largest and most experienced road safety organisation
Founded in 1993, TTC is now the UK’s largest and most established road safety training organisation.
Born out of the UK’s first ever pilot scheme to rehabilitate drink drivers, our Shropshire-based company now employs more than 900 trainers nationwide and delivers more than a million hours of training in more than 300 locations and online every year.
TTC’s pioneering work in offender rehabilitation has made it a watchword in driver training innovation. We remain the only organisation approved to deliver Drink Drive Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS) courses to all UK court areas.
And, after gaining approval to develop and deliver National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) courses in 2000 we have grown to become the UK’s largest provider, delivering National Speed Awareness Courses for more police forces than any other provider.
In 2007, we became TTC Group (UK) and extended our commitment to road safety to younger road users with the acquisition of Cycle Experience Ltd, one of the Department for Transport’s (DfT) first Bikeability scheme providers.
After successfully leading a management buyout and subsequent investment by Manchester based private equity firm Palatine in 2017, CEO Jim Kirkwood steadily expanded TTC Group into the corporate and fleet driver training, risk management and compliance sector.
This included buying two more successful firms Business Driver Ltd and Licence Bureau Ltd, further cementing TTC Group’s place as a market leader in commercial driver sector.
In May 2021, Palatine sold its stake in TTC Group to Pricoa Private Capital, the private capital business of Prudential Financial, unlocking an exciting new phase of investment and technical innovation, including the development of our pioneering digital and data platform, Continuum.
In 2024, TTC Group underwent significant rebranding and we rationalised the disparate products acquired under our expansion programme under a single name – TTC.
In the same year, a new CEO, David Marsh, took the helm and TTC branched into construction training with the addition of market leading Synergie Training to our portfolio.
